First we drive up above Kotor with curvy OldAustro-Hungarian road from 19th century - passing 25 serpentines to reach stunningbird’s eye view of Boka Bay, stopping at the best vintage points to make most amazing pictures of the Bay below.
Our next stop is fakous village Njeguši where the best prosciutto (smoked ham) is made. Every house is a small “factory” of excellent ham and cheese, and we don’t miss our opportunity to try some, followed by strong national brandy called “Rakija”.

30 minutes brake is just right to eat and relax breathing the fresh mountain air.

From the village we continue our mountain adventure driving higher through rocky sloops within the NP of Lovćen, and in order to conquer the 2nd highest coastal peak – the Lake Peak. To reach the actual top, we pass 461 step and at the altitude of 1.657 meters above sea level we find the highest mausoleum on the world dedicated to the great ruler of Montenegro from 19th century – Peter II Petrović Njegoš. Besides admiring giant statue of the ruler, everybody’s favorite thing about this place is that almost 70% of Montenegro is visible from the vintage point.

Climbing got everybody pretty exhausted, so we enjoy drive down to Old Royal Capital Cetinje.

Cetinje at its best glory was the capital of Montenegro for 500 years, when, after WW2, lifelong president of Yugoslavia, Tito pronounced Podgorica as capital and rename it to Titograd.
With numerous historical buildings, museums, music, art and acting school, monuments from different time periods, even with losing its capital status, Cetinje remain to be center of culture, history and education.

During our walking tour, we get to walk the main pedestrian zone, and see the true Montenegrin architecture.
As we continue our tour driving to the River of Crnojević, we don’t miss our chance to capture amazing photo of the biggest lake in Balkan’s – Skadar Lake.

At the river first we stop for delicious homemade lunch and then enjoy the relaxing boat ride observing birds and lush vegetation around.

After this long day, it is time get back to the coast where we make a stop in Budva or St. Stefan, or if the day is hot, we can cool down with swimming in Jazz Beach, one of the best Montenegrin beaches.
